Nicola

"It is often the small steps, not the giant leaps, that bring about the most lasting change."

Since leaving Playpen a decade ago, Nicky has continued her journey of life long learning and earned an honours degree in Early Childhood Education and Care from The University Of Hull.

In addition to developing children academically, Nicky is also passionate about their holistic development, not just their academics. She advocates for 'in the moment planning, which involves children leading their own learning journeys. This involves practitioners or facilitators enhancing, developing interests and introducing teachable moments that support development through the Early Years Foundation Stage.
